PUBLIC NOTICE MAY 21, 2020

All Lyon Township Parks will remain closed at this time with the exception of the dog park and the softball diamond, which will open to the public on  May 25, 2020. We ask all users to please practice safe social distancing as well as folowing  CDC guidlines.

Effective May 26 2020 Lyon Township office will be open to the public during normal business hours. Anyone entering the office will be required to wear a mask, and only one person will be allowed in to the office at a time. All office staff will continue to be available via phone and email.

 

 

 

 

NOTICE OF TOWNSHIP REGULAR BOARD MEETING

AND PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ELECTRONICALLY

LYON TOWNSHIP

ROSCOMMON COUNTY, MICHIGAN

 

 

To: The residents and property owners of Lyon Township, Roscommon County, Michigan, and any other interested parties.

Please take notice that a special meeting/public hearing of the Lyon Township Board will be held on May 20, 2020 at 7 p.m. by electronic remote access for the purpose of consideration of issues specified in the attached agenda.

Electronic remote access, in accordance with the Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-75, will be implemented in response to COVID-19 social distancing requirements and Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-77. The public may participate in the meeting/public hearing through teleconference access by dialing 1-978-990-5000, and then entering access code 143036.

Members of the public will only be able to speak during the public hearing and public comment portions of the meeting/public hearing and such comments will be limited to three minutes per person during each opportunity to speak. To provide for orderly public participation, a person wishing to speak must state their name and request to be recognized by the Township Supervisor. The Supervisor will recognize all persons wishing to speak during the public hearing and public comment. If, prior to the meeting/public hearing, members of the public have certain questions or wish to provide input on any business that will be addressed at the meeting/public hearing then such persons may contact the Township Board members through Lyon Township Clerk, by email to clerk@lyontownship.org, or by phone at (989)821-9694 Ext 201. A copy of the meeting material may be found on the link on the Township’s homepage at LyonTownship.org.

The Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon reasonable advance notice by contacting Lyon Township Clerk, by email or phone.

Recreation Improvements

As a resident or visitor of Lyon Township, we want you to know that we have been working on improvements to the township parks and continue to listen to our citizens of the Lyon township community.

Update: August 27, 2019

 PARK IMPROVEMENTS: 

The Township has added two new tennis/pickle ball courts to Park 27. 

We are continuing to accessorize the dog park.  

The Phoenix Park playground equipment has been installed. 

The Amphitheater has been built and in use.
