PUBLIC NOTICE JANUARY 13, 2021     

The Lyon township Clerk and Deputy Clerk will be performing the Risk Limiting Audit ordered by the Bureau of Elections at 9:30 am on Thursday January 14, 2021 in the Township Hall. This audit was randomly selected by the Bureau on Monday of this week. Lyon Township will be pulling ballots 68, 127, 211 and 387 from the 981 ballots cast in the November Election. If anyone from the public should wish to attend, they may, using proper social distancing and mask wearing required.

Board of Review Members

Lyon township is currently seeking applicants for committee members on it’s Board of Review.

  • Members must be qualified electors, land owners and tax payers (MCL 168.342) of Lyon Township
  • The position is a 2-year term expiring December 31, 2023
  • The board meets a minimum of 4 days per year
  • The members hear tax payer appeals protesting their assessed /taxable values as calculated by the townships assessing department.

PUBLIC NOTICE December 10, 2020

The Lyon Township will be available during normal business hours for In-Person Winter Tax Collection. On December 30, 2020 the Treasurer's Office wil be available from 9 am to 5pm for In-Person Collection.

 

PUBLIC NOTICE November 25, 2020

Effective December 1, 2020 the Lyon Township Compost site will no longer be accepting brush.

This will remain in effect until further notice. We aopolgixe for the inconvenience, but space is limited with the current drop off of fall leaves.

 

 

 

 


PUBLIC NOTICE November 13, 2020

Lyon Township has an immediate opening for an Ordinance Officer. Duties breifly include assisting in the administration and enforcement of Township ordinances, as related to public health and safety. Please call or stop into the Township for more details.

 Effective May 26 2020 Lyon Township office will be open to the public during normal business hours. Anyone entering the office will be required to wear a mask, and only one person will be allowed in to the office at a time. All office staff will continue to be available via phone and email.

Recreation Improvements

As a resident or visitor of Lyon Township, we want you to know that we have been working on improvements to the township parks and continue to listen to our citizens of the Lyon township community.

Update: August 27, 2019

 PARK IMPROVEMENTS: 

The Township has added two new tennis/pickle ball courts to Park 27. 

We are continuing to accessorize the dog park.  

The Phoenix Park playground equipment has been installed. 

The Amphitheater has been built and in use.
